VNG (Videonystagmogram) A diagnostic test used to evaluate the balance function of the inner ear by measuring the patterns of nystagmus. Inferred goggles are used to record the movements of the eye, which helps to determine the origin of your balance dysfunction. The test irrigates cool then warm water (or air) in the ear canal, in addition to changing the position of your head. It is normal to have feelings of dizziness or nausea during this test. (When scheduled to take this test please do not eat at least 4 hours before your visit.)
